Israel is allocating US$60 million to a project dedicated to building the country’s first quantum computer. The Ministry of Defense and the Innovation Authority have launched a call for tenders inviting local and international companies and academic institutions to submit proposals for the development of a quantum computer with 30–40 qubits. It is expected that the winner of the tender will begin work before the end of 2021.
