Irish agency becomes first public organization fined for GDPR breach

According to the Irish Times, the child and family agency, Tusla, has become the first public organisation fined for a breach of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC). Tusla was fined €75,000 following an investigation into three cases in which children’s data was wrongly disclosed to unauthorised parties.
