IoT Alliance Australia publishes IoT guides for users and providers

IoT Alliance Australia (IoTAA) issued two internet of things (IoT) security guides for users and manufacturers. Both guides begin by addressing issues of security, privacy, and safety of IoT devices and conclude by providing information about IoT security statistics and types of IoT attacks. Each of these guides also details relevant concerns for each stakeholder. The user’s guide deals with topics such as securing business and home networks, using security claims, protecting electronic information, knowing how to browse safely, and what to do when being scammed or breached. The provider’s guide deals with topics such as stating security claims, securing business, implementing privacy and security by design, and third-party security evaluations.
