Internet restored in parts of Kashmir after being blocked amid civilian attacks

According to a news report, internet services have been restored in parts of Kashmir after a precautionary shutdown of the internet following a recent spate of killings in the Union Territory which reportedly claimed some nine civilian lives within the past 15 days. The internet restrictions which mainly affected mobile internet services were experienced in some communities within Srinagar district, Kulgam district, and Pulwama district. According to the report some citizens from the affected areas including a Kashmir-based independent journalist, Aakash Hassan, have confirmed that mobile internet services have been restored since 19 October 2021.
