Fearing intrusion by newly elected US President Trump, The Internet Archive – a nonprofit digital library preserving billions of websites – is preparing a backup archive in Canada. The organisation provides free public access to digitised materials, including websites, software, music, videos, images, and books. The replica would protect the archive from efforts to take down specific content and from government requests for user data.
