Indonesia is planning to tax digital ads and trading
Indonesia is planning to set a policy mechanism for digital tax on online advertisements, trading on social medias and financial technology services. Setting the process, the Taxation Directorate General is working on data analysis in order to map easily digital tax potential in the national digital economy. However, Indonesian E-commerce Association state that the difficulties on taxing digital economy lies on the fact that sellers in social medias platforms are people coming from outside the company.
