India’s Ministry of Communication issues a code of practice for securing consumer IoT
India Telecommunication Engineering Center (TEC) at the Ministry of Communication issues a code of practice for securing consumer IoT. The guide provides baseline requirements as a basis for implementing TRAI recommendations. TRAI recommendations were: (1) Device manufacturers should be mandated to implement security by design principle in M2M devices manufacturing, and (2) A National Trust Center (NTC) would be created, under the aegis of TEC, for the certification of M2M devices and applications (hardware and software). This code of practice is part of the draft document currently under discussion.
