Indian cabinet approves memorandum of understanding between India and UAE on cooperation in the field of industries and advanced technologies

The Indian Cabinet has approved an MoU between India and the UAE to enhance cooperation in industries and advanced technologies, focusing on areas like AI, renewable energy, and space systems. The collaboration aims to boost supply chain resilience, create jobs, stimulate research and innovation, increase production, exports, and decrease imports.

The Indian Union Cabinet endorsed a proposal to sign a bilateral memorandum of understanding (MoU) between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to cooperate in the field of industries and advanced technologies. Both governments will collaborate to bolster the supply chain resilience of industries, artificial intelligence (AI), renewable and energy efficiency, and space systems through investments, technology transfer, and the deployment of key technologies. This, in turn, is expected to generate employment across the economy and increase in research and innovation in all areas of mutual cooperation. It may further lead to the growth of these sectors, increased domestic production, enhanced exports, and a reduction in imports.
