India: Twitter faces police case for promoting child pornography

A case has been lodged against Twitter by India’s Nation Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) with the Delhi police over availability of  child sexual abuse and pornographic material on its platform. NCPCR has written that it has received a complaint of a minor receiving online threats and found pornographic material on the platform. The Delhi police has stated that they are investigating the case. Twitter on its part has stated that the platform has a zero tolerance policy for child sexual exploitation.
