Implementation of ADR and ODR in EU
July 9th is the deadline for EU member states to implement the rules on Alternative Dispute Resolution and Online Dispute Resolution which came into force in 2013. The Directive on consumer ADR and the Regulation on consumer ODR also provides for the setting up of an EU-wide online platform up for disputes that arise from online transactions. The ODR platform will become operational in January 2016.
