The IGF launches a call for input on Connecting the next billion

The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) has launched a Call for Public Input on Phase II of the intersessional theme ‘Policy Options for Connecting and Enabling the Next Billion. This call is based on the framework document which was developed with the assistance of various stakeholders over the past few months. The document stresses both the need for emphasising national and regional specificities, as well as the importance of investigating the ways in which connecting and enabling more users can help support the new sustainable development goals (SDGs). In preparation for its 11th annual meeting (to be held in Mexico), the IGF is trying to mobilise stakeholders to provide their inputs.
