IATA to launch travel pass on Apple platform in mid-April
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) said that a digital travel pass for COVID-19 test results and vaccine certificates will be launched on the Apple platform in mid-April, 2021, according to a Reuters report. The IATA Travel Pass is currently in the piloting phase. UK-based carrier Virgin Atlantic said it would trial the IATA Travel Pass on its London to Barbados route from 16 April, 2021. The government of Barbado announced that it will accept the digital pass at its border, becoming one of the first countries to accept a digital pass, instead of paper certificates.
