Huawei signs agreement with Saudi Arabia to strengthen its digital economy

Saudi Arabia’s Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) and Huawei announced a joint agreement to accelerate the evolution of the country’s digital economy by fostering broader collaboration in and among knowledge exchange, human resource (HR) capacity development, and the information and communication technology (ICT) industry. To this aim, Huawei will share its experience and best practices with the CITC as well as conduct training for CITC officials focused on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, data analysis etc. Moreover, Huawei will provide the CITC with access to its global events and forums for further knowledge exchange, while giving the CITC more platforms to share its own best practices with the world. ‘We look forward to supporting the CITC in further enhancing digital infrastructure, nurturing local talent, and promoting the successes of the kingdom’s ICT market on an international stage,’ said Huawei President for the Middle East Charles Yang.
