Huawei and the African Union sign a MOU to strengthen their technical partnership on ICT

According to a report, Huawei and the African Union (AU) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to consolidate their collaboration and put in place the necessary arrangements to ensure an effective co-operation on information and communications technology (ICT) matters. The MOU seeks to strengthen their partnership in the following areas: broadband, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, 5G and artificial intelligence (AI). Thomas Kwesi Quartey, the Deputy Chairperson of the AU Commission and Philippe Wang, Huawei’s Vice-President for the Northern African region signed the MOU for the AU and Huawei respectively.
