Government of Vietnam approves digital economy development strategy

The Ministry of Information and Communication in Vietnam endorsed the national strategy for the digital economy, digital society development through 2025, and orientations to 2030 aiming at accelerating the development of the digital economy. The strategy is designed to help Viet Nam surpasses its status as a low-middle-income country by 2025 and become an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2045. To this aim, the strategy hinges on nine key pillars including digital economy development; development of digital society; digital platform; digital data; network information safety and network security; digital human resources; digital skills, digital citizenship, and digital culture; digital business; and digital payments.
