Google unveils Disco browser with GenTabs
Disco supports planners, study aids and other tools generated from natural language prompts.
Google has introduced Disco, an experimental browser that uses Gemini 3 to generate interactive tools from standard web pages. GenTabs powers the experience by merging content from open tabs and previous chats into dynamic task-focused applications.
The browser displays a chat column that accepts natural language prompts for refining each generated tool. Early demonstrations highlight trip planners capable of integrating maps, timelines and crowd data into a single interface.
GenTabs supports varied tasks such as creating meal planners, gardening schedules and educational models. Users describe the outcome they want, and Disco assembles an interactive version directly within the browser. Google positions the tool as a glimpse of a more proactive style of online browsing.
Access is currently limited to a waitlist for macOS testers as Google gathers feedback. Engineers expect future ideas from Disco to influence upcoming Chrome features. The experiment signals growing interest in AI-enhanced browsing tools designed for efficiency and creative exploration.
