Google selects 11 startups for ‘Google for Startups’ Accelerator on SDGs

Google has selected 11 startups for its startups accelerator on SDGs. The aim of the initiative is to facilitate the development of technology that could provide a response to global challenges outlined in 2030 Agenda. 

Out of the 11 startups, two – Flare and mDoc are from Africa. Flare is a Kenyan enterprise that provides software infrastructure and operational support for medical emergency response services in Sub-Saharan Africa while mDoc, a Nigerian company, relies on digital platforms in order to extend support to individuals living with chronic disease.
