Google to raise ad rates in France and Spain due to digital tax
Google warned its consumers that it is about to increase rates for ads by two percent from May in order to reduce the impact of the digital tax on income in France and Spain. In the French market, online companies with profits higher than 750 million euros in worldwide sales or 25 million in the national territory must pay three percent of taxes on their French operations, including advertising sales. In Spain, online companies must also pay a three-percent tax on some of their operations.
