Google to provide MENA with grants and loans to train digital skills

The US based multinational technology company Google will grant US$1.1 million to capacitate businesses in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region with digital skills and increase online access. Additionally, the company will provide US$3 million in loans to thousands of businesses in the region to promote digital transformation; US$2 million of which will go to Egypt. A total of one million firms or individuals in the region would be supported to boost their digital skills to find jobs and get businesses online by the end of 2021. The firm will further provide US$9 million in advertising credits and grants to support businesses and governments in the region.
