Google blocked 780 million ‘bad ads’ in 2015

In 2015, Google blocked almost 800 million ‘bad advertisements’ – almost 50% more than in 2014. Examples of ‘bad ads’ are those that mislead or trick people into clicking on them, sell counterfeit goods, break Google’s rules on healthcare and medical products or make misleading weight-loss claims. Google is planning to continue restricting ‘bad ads’ and to add new protections against malware and bots.
