Ghana launches financial inclusion strategies

Ghana’s Ministry of Finance has presented the government’s vision for an integrated payment system whose goal is to increase financial services to all. The digital financial services policy includes a payment service known as Cash-Lite and the policy arm the Digital Payments Coordination Unit. The policy addresses the banking sector as well the unbanked. It will incorporate telecommunication operations in improving financial capacity of the unbanked as well as those using informal financial services.
