Germany adopts the regulation allowing banks to handle cryptocurrencies

German parliament approved the directive allowing banks in Germany to act as custodian for cryptocurrencies. This will exclude third-party custodians and allow banks to handle crypto founds independently. New rules will come into effect from 1 January 2020. German banking Association were involved in the draft and voiced the content of new regulations. Germany is amending its current legal framework in order to clarify issues related to the cryptoasset economy.
