German investigators to get more power to tackle online abuse of children

The German parliament has approved several new measures designed to help law enforcement agencies fight against  sexual abuse of children online and the darknet. Few of the new changes include “cyber grooming” become punishable by law; investigators  permitted under strict conditions to use computer-generated material resembling sexual abuse of children in online chatrooms as part of their investigative work.
