FTC filed a complaint regarding misleading Amazon business packages and moneymaking crypto schemes.

On 16 November 2022, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) filed the complaint and final order in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against DK Automation and its owner. The claim is based on the sales of Amazon programs promising consumers a ‘100% turnkey’ and charging consumers as much as US$100,000 for the program using fake consumer reviews for marketing and sales pitches. The defendants also offered supposed cryptocurrency investment services.

The defendants agreed to a proposed court order that:

• Prohibits them from making misleading earning claims to consumers;
• Prohibits them from interfering in reviews and complaints
• Demands that they pay at least US$2,6 million to FTC to refund consumers.
