France to trial digital vaccine passport

According to a report, France’s transportation minister Jean-Baptiste Djebbari announced on 11 March 2021 that it launched a month-long pilot of digital vaccine passport for Air France passengers. Under the new scheme, passengers traveling to the French Caribbean territories of Martinique and Guadeloupe will be able to use the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) AOKpass app to prove a COVID-19 vaccination certificate or negative test result. Djebbari said during the French RMC radio that the trial aimed to reduce checks that are drastically slowing boarding and arrival procedures.
