France and Netherlands to cooperate on quantum technologies

France and the Netherlands have concluded a memorandum of understanding to advance cooperation in quantum technologies. The overall goal of the agreement is to ‘increase the natural synergies between the French and Dutch ecosystems and achieve the critical mass needed to help develop European leaders and attract the best international talents’. A governance scheme and a framework for exchanges will be set up to help identify opportunities for co-financing and bilateral cooperation. The agreement also envisions strengthening cooperation in research, facilitating research-industry collaboration, coordinating efforts in education and awareness, investing in the development of a quantum technologies ecosystem, accelerating European initiatives, and encouraging jobs creation. On the latter point, a joint portal was launched to list job opportunities in the French and Dutch ecosystems: quantumjobs.fr and quantumjobs.nl.
