Fiji domains affected by DNSSEC issues

Domain names under .fj – the country code top-level domain of Fiji – were unreachable by many users for some 12 hours, on 8 March 2022. The operator of .fj, the University of South Pacific, acknowledged that there were issues with the resolution of .fj domain requests, but did not provide details about the source of the problem. An analysis by Cloudfare indicated that the problem was related to an improper configuration of DNSSEC (DNS security extensions).
