FAO calls on better data gathering in the Asia-Pacific

The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) called on better gathering and monitoring of agricultural data in the Asia-Pacific in order to ensure the attainment of sustainable development goals. Such a measure is necessary given that the capacity to measure progress on SDGs and the performance of states on the states is closely intertwined.

According to FAO the divide between countries with the appropriate capacity to adequately gather data on agriculture is most visible in the Asia-Pacific region.
