Facebook sent human moderators to work from home
Until now Facebook had not figured out a way to conduct moderation tasks remotely because it is one of the most sensitive issues for the social media platform. This includes, removing pornography, hate speech, and other unwanted content. After a combination of internal protests, public pressure, and governmental measures in most countries, Facebook decided to close its moderation offices. Mr. Mark Zuckerberg stated that the company will have to mostly rely on artificial intelligence software to make moderation decisions. Zuckerberg acknowledged that these measures might result in more false positives than usual because software is not as precise as humans when making these judgement calls.
