Facebook gives WHO free ads for coronavirus communications

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg posted that the company is giving the World Health Organization (WHO) as many free ads as they need to respond to the coronavirus outbreak. Zuckerberg said that the company will also provide ad credits to organisations that are working to convey accurate and timely information on coronavirus. Besides the campaigns fighting against disinformation and misinformation, the company is allowing researchers to access aggregated and anonymised Facebook data, that includes mobility data and population density maps, to analyse how coronavirus is spreading.
