Europe’s most powerful quantum computer unveiled in Germany
The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft research institute in Germany and IBM have unveiled a 27 qubits quantum computer at the newly established Competence Centre Quantum Computing Baden-Württemberg. Described as the most powerful computer in Europe, the IBM Q System One is available to industrial companies, SMEs, startups, and academic institutions for application-related use.Operated under German legislation, the computer is suitable for various research topics, such as essential algorithms, software development, the design of elementary logic operations, and the control of the quantum processor in the actual computing process. Interested entities can access the computer on the basis of a licence agreement with Fraunhofer.
