Bandwidth and Cloud Services Group (BCS), in collaboration with the European Investment Bank (EIB), is launching a new fibre-optic network investment to enhance digital connectivity for over 2.5 million residents in the eastern regions of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). This initiative, supported by the EIB’s Global Gateway program, aims to bring high-speed broadband internet to homes, schools, and hospitals, facilitating increased access to digital services and promoting the country’s digital transformation.

Through financial support from EIB Global, BCS will be able to expand its digital infrastructure, including over 20,000 kilometres of connectivity, with a significant focus on the DRC, enabling the realization of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the government and BCS to connect schools, hospitals, and other key institutions along the network infrastructure.
