European Commission launches InTouchAI.eu initiative to promote human-centric AI
he European Commission has launched the International outreach for human-centric artificial intelligence (AI) project – InTouchAI.eu – dedicated to engaging with international partners on regulatory and ethical matters related to AI and promoting the responsible development of trustworthy AI globally. More specifically, the initiative will support the Commission in (a) developing responsible leadership in global discussions around AI; (b) creating the conditions for the uptake of policies and good practices and standards that ensure an appropriate ethical and legal framework on AI; and improving public awareness of the challenges and opportunities associated with AI. Activities to be conducted in the framework of the project include dialogues and joint initiatives with various partners on issues related to advancing human-centric AI; public outreach and technology diplomacy; and research, intelligence gathering, and monitoring AI developments.
