European Cloud Initiative launched by the European Commission
As part of the wider package of measures for Digitising European Industry, the European Commission has launched the ‘European Cloud Initiative – Building a competitive data and knowledge economy in Europe’, with the aim to strengthen EU’s position in data-driven innovation, and improve its competitiveness. The initiative envisions the creation of an European Open Science Cloud, and the deployment of an European Data Infrastructure.
