EU urges streaming platforms to ease pressure on Internet capacity
The European Commission called on streaming platforms to take measures to prevent Internet congestion caused by thousands of people teleworking due to the coronavirus outbreak. Thierry Breton, the Commissioner for Internal Market, stated that streaming platforms should cooperate with telecom providers and temporarily offer standard definition rather than high definition.
