Ethiopia restores Internet connectivity after three week shutdown
According to a news report, full Internet access has been restored in Ethiopia after three weeks of Internet shutdown. The recent Internet blackout which was justified by authorities as due to threats to national security have been widely criticised by citizens and people around the world as having no legal basis. The Internet monitoring organisation, NetBlocks in a tweet post showed that it had clocked a total Internet downtime of 23 days (552 hours) with the latest real time data showing that much of the country and cellular network are now back online.
