Enabling education of persons with disabilities through technology

Since 1967, UNESCO International Literacy Prizes have rewarded excellence and innovation in the field of literacy, undertaken by governments, non-governmental organizations and individuals around the world. This year in their “UNESCO King Sejong Literacy Prize” the award went to ‘National Institute of Open Schooling’ from India, for its programme ‘Enabling education of persons with disabilities through technology enabled inclusive learning material, with specific focus on Indian Sign language based content’.
