Egypt selects 16 SMEs for digital migration programme’s first phase

The Egyptian government has selected 16 small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) to roll out 15 digital projects within government bodies in four areas: quality management and testing; GG Web Services; content digitisation, analysis, design; and project engineering. According to the Minister of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT), the 16 SMEs were designated as part of the ‘Our Digital Opportunity’ initiative launched in May 2020 to involve young local entrepreneurs in the national digital transformation. In the quality management and testing area, four SMEs were selected for the asset management system, the Egyptian heritage system, the complete health insurance system, and the notary system. While two SMEs were selected to support the GG Web Services area, seven SMEs were selected to run nine commercial projects in the analysis, design, and project engineering category.
