EC sets Expert Group on Safer Internet for Children

The European Commission (EC) has set up a new Expert Group on Safer Internet for Children to improve co-ordination and co-operation between member states in protect children rights online.The expert group is expected to discuss various aspects of protecting children rights online such as;  protecting children from harmful online content, including advertising directed at children; providing best practices for member states to follow, and offer support on how to implement specific provisions concerning minors in key existing regulations.The first meeting of the expert group will take place in Brussels on 6 March
