EBRD releases ‘Tech Selector’ to promote green technologies
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has released a mobile app called ‘Tech Selector’ in order to promote the use of green technologies in finance and commerce. The app contains information on more than 18 000 green technologies that can be used to improve energy efficiency, access to renewable sources, and fight negative developments such as soil erosion. The users will be able to identify green technologies that received EBRD support which ultimately is expected to help advance the delivery of climate finance.
The platform is an upgrade of the Green Technology Selector tool released by the EBRD in 2018 that allows users to access a global directory of green technologies.
