Dutch union sues Uber for employment contract

The Dutch trade union FNV has taken Uber to court to dispute the classification of drivers as independent contractors. The FNV alleges that the hide-hailing intermediary manages drivers as if they were employees and should give them the right to a minimum and holiday wages. FNV sued in the past the platforms focused on food delivery Deliveroo and cleaning services Helpling for similar reasons. The lawsuit concerning Deliveroo is currently with the Supreme Court.
