Dutch regulators investigate IoT devices’ safety
Netherlands Telecom Agency (AT) and Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) investigate smart home appliances. The investigation will explore whether smart home appliances are digitally safe and whether their manufacturers comply with rules (e.g., providing security updates for software, informing consumers about the availability of the updates, and clarifying to customers the consequences if the updates are not installed).
