Dropbox’s Project Infinite could change the way we access cloud files

Dropbox announced a new service – Project Infinite – aimed to give business customers local access to files irrespective of whether they are stored in the cloud, on network drives, or on local drives. According to Techcrunch, this new offering comes to solve one common cloud problem generated by the fact that users who want to access their cloud file system locally can only do that if they have the system stored on their drive, or if they navigate the files in a separate online interface. Project Infinite would overcome such complications and allow users to have access to all their Dropbox files without having to store them on their drive. Cloud files could therefore be managed as though they were local, but they would not be taking up space on the local drive.
