Discussion Paper on the Consumer Protection Code and the Digitalisation of Financial Services
In order to address consumers protection issues and their adequacy to digital enviroment Central Bank of Ireland published Discussion Paper on the Consumer Protection Code and the Digitalisation of Financial Services. Even though consumers protection code is technology neutral and applicable to all industries, this paper should examine how effective is its application on digitized financial services. Paper is open for comments until October and after eding public consultations Bank will present the outcome of this analysis and if there is a need for specific set of rules for protection of consumers in digital environment.
