The Digital Economy Partnership Agreement (DEPA) entered into force

DEPA was celebrated between Singapore, Chile and New Zealand. It has been depicted by the government of Singapore as a ‘new kind of economic engagement and trade in the digital era’. Unlike free trade agreements, which cover a broad range of issues, Digital Economy Agreements focus on digital aspects, such as paperless trade, e-invoicing, data flows, data protection, digital identities and artificial intelligence.
