The DIGIT Act was introduced at the US House of Representatives
The DIGIT Act was introduced at the US House of Representatives. The bill suggests establishing a working group of federal entities that would consult with private sector stakeholders to provide recommendations to Congress about how to plan for the growth of the internet of things in the US and how to encourage its development. The legislation would also instruct the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to initiate a proceeding to review and assess the spectrum needs required to support the internet of things. This House bill is similar to a senate bill that passed the Senate earlier this year.
