Israel’s contact tracing app avoided by users
The coronavirus contact tracing app in Israel has detected 30% COVID-19 cases in the country, sending notifications to about 80 000 people a week since 1 July 2020 requiring them to quarantine. According to Reuters, users have started to avoid contact tracing to prevent negative economic impacts by switching their phones to airplane mode or using prepaid SIM cards.
