Commonwealth finance minister plan to discuss digital currencies
At an upcoming Commonwealth of Nations meeting (6-7 October, Lima, Peru), senior finance officials and central bank governors plan to discuss digital currencies as a possible solution to many existing problems. Among the aims of the meeting, ‘Central bank governors will explore the possibility of using virtual or digital currencies such as Bitcoin as cost-effective alternatives to traditional money transfer channels.’
