CoE launches updated course on hate crime and hate speech

The Council of Europe (CoE) released an updated version of its hate crime and hate speech course. The course was jointly developed by the CoE Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals, the CoE Media and Internet Governance Division and the No Hate Speech and Cooperation Unit, the CoE HELP Programme, and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Office of Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, with contribution from the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights. It is available for free on the CoE HELP online platform. The course aims to increase the necessary knowledge and skills of legal professionals in understanding the consequences of hate crime and hate speech on victims.
