Canada’s privacy commissioner publishes privacy guide for IoT device manufacturers

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada issued a privacy guide for manufacturers of Internet of things (IoT) devices. The guide aims to provide manufacturers with practical information on how to ensure their business practices and IoT devices follow the PIPEDA (Canada’s federal private-sector privacy law). The guide also includes examples of best practices that manufacturers might find helpful in creating privacy management programmes.
